Due to the spread of COVID-19 the library is taking preventive measures and cancelling all programs and outreach activities. This includes the closing of the Study Room, Community Room and Teen Room. It’s essential that one of the first steps that should be taken is to initiate social distancing when possible. These changes go into effect at 12:00 p.m. today. (Friday, March 13) and continue until further notice.

Today’s action is a precautionary measure. We are as disappointed as you are to cancel programs and meetings at our library. The staff works very hard to plan these programs and we know you enjoy participating in them.

Our staff is dedicated to serving the public. At this point in time, the library’s main concern is keeping our patrons and staff safe.

We will continue to provide COVID-19 updates as well as any future decisions involving the library on our website, email, and social media channels.

What We’re Doing at the Library
All library returns should be done via the book drop. All materials in the book drop should be handled wearing gloves, and items should be wiped down with Lysol wipes.
At the end of each desk shift staff members will wipe down hard surfaces.
Staff members will wipe down patron computers after use.
Members of the public and staff are encouraged to stay home if they are sick
Limit physical touching
Do not handle food or snacks for others.

What Can You Do as a Patron
If you have a fever and are sick, stay home
Wash your hands regularly after using public computers and borrowing material
Remind friends and family that the library remains your trusted source for accurate information.
