Ryan’s Case for Smiles is pleased to host a pillowcase party at the Saugerties Public Library and you’re invited. Ryan’s Case for Smiles provides pillowcases to children in local hospitals and other facilities to give them and their families an emotional boost while dealing with their illness.

The party will be held at the Saugerties Public Library on Saturday, March 24, 2018. Even if you don’t sew, we can use you! There is lots of pinning and ironing to be done. If you do sew, bring your sewing machine, thread, pins, and scissors or thread snips. Bring a buddy with you too! If you can’t make it to the event, feel free to drop off your finished pillowcases** at the library before that date.

The Albany Chapter of Ryan’s Case for Smiles provides all the pillowcase kits, cut and ready to pin and sew. However, we always need more fabric, so feel free to raid your stash (or local quilt shop!) for any kid friendly prints that you would like to donate. We need ¾ yd for the body and 1/3 yd for the cuff of the pillowcase. We also provide the chocolate. It’s not a party unless have chocolate.

Please RSVP at the library by (day before) if you will be able to attend. We hope to see you there.

**Make your pillowcases using the “hot dog” method and French seams, or a serger. No unfinished seams please.
