LIBRARY CARD POLICY
The Saugerties Public Library issues free cards to all Saugerties residents, and also residents of libraries of the Mid-Hudson Library System.
Library Cards are used to check out library materials, sign on to public access computers, and to pre-pay for computer printouts.
How to Obtain a Library Card
If you are 16 years and older, please bring in a photo id and proof of current residency (like a utility bill).
Children, from 6 to 15 years old:
- Must have a parent or legal guardian sign their library card application.
Library Cards expire every three years.
- Renew in person at the Library.
- Fines must not exceed $5 to renew a Library Card.
Replacement of lost cards cost $2.00 for adults and children.
Adults, 16 years and older, must show proper identification to replace a card.
